Our Intensive Outpatient Program is designed to support you while you continue living your life: attend structured therapy sessions (individual + group), build practical coping skills, and receive clinical support.
It offers the flexibility of outpatient treatment with the concentrated support of an inpatient program. IOP patients can come for day or evening treatment at the facility and return to their own homes each day.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) supports individuals struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders. We also support co-occurring anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related patterns that often drive relapse.
Every individual receives a personalised clinical assessment to determine whether outpatient treatment is the appropriate level of care. If a higher level of care is needed, we help guide you toward the right next step.

We’re incredibly proud of the positive impact our Intensive Outpatient Program has made. Here’s what individuals and families have shared about their experience.

Excellent IOP and aftercare. They recognize all paths to recovery and harm reduction models, which is a breath of fresh air compared to the 12-Step programs a lot of recovery programs use. I would probably be dead today if I hadn't found them. The biggest difference between ARS and other treatment programs, is that they really LISTEN to the patients, and by modeling that behavior, I have learned how to be a better listener to others.

The staff was warm and welcoming to me. In a time of uncertainty and isolation they connected me with others sharing the same burden as me. Throughout the program, they helped educate me and give me the tools I needed to break free from the destructive cycle I was stuck in. I’ve connected with others that I spent time with there and still do 6 years later in the aftercare program and on a personal level. ARS helped get me straightened out AND focused on keeping me on the path after I completed the program.
It was and is my safe place.

This program saved my life. I was on a destructive path and after several attempts at sobriety and my wits end I was put in touch with ARS. In a safe and comfortable environment, you will learn about why and how to get better. I was an addict of 10 years before going to this program. I am now drug and alcohol free over a year after completing
Alive. Happy. Thriving.

When you have a question, chances are someone else has too. Here are the answers to the most common questions about IOP.
Outpatient care is best for those who still need help but do not require hospitalization.
Both inpatient and outpatient have their positives. An inpatient program can be a great starting point for those beginning their journey to recovery. It can allow you to safely stop your substance use if that is what they wish to do. However, staying at the facility for your entire treatment is required. An outpatient program allows you to go home at the end of the day. This level of care is often a step down from an inpatient program and gives you more freedom in your treatment plan.
Outpatient treatment does not require staying at the facility while you complete treatment.
Outpatient treatment for mental health is a service that treats you for conditions such as depression, anxiety, or substance use disorders and does not require staying at the facility.
